Lead Paint Testing

A Lead Paint Test is recommended to any home that was built before 1978!

Lead Paint was banned from being used in 1978 due to the effects that it has on humans if ingested. We at Gold Key highly recommend if you believe to have lead paint, or are unsure but live in a home built prior to 1978, that you should have your home tested for lead paint. As long as the paint is in good condition, and the surface hasn’t been broken, the paint doesn’t pose a serious health threat. If a lead paint test is ordered, our inspectors will come out to the home and take a physical paint sample. It is then sent off to the lab where they test to determine the amount of lead present. Generally, lab results are expected within 2-3 business days.
